1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Our Agreement
Wego ("we," "us," or "our") provides a location-based social platform that helps users discover nearby activities, connect with like-minded people, and communicate through instant and group messaging (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the Wego application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
1.2 Important Terms to Note
Please read these Terms carefully, paying particular attention to clauses that limit or exclude liability, as these are highlighted in underlined text. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1.3 Relationship to Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms. By accepting these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
1.4 Updates to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or push message. If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
1.5 Age Requirement
Wego is for adults only. If you are under 18 years of age, you must stop registration immediately and exit the application.
2. The Service
2.1 What We Offer
The Service includes, but is not limited to: location-based exploration and discovery of nearby users and venues; browsing, creating, and joining local activities and events; participating in activity group chats; one-on-one instant messaging with other users; profile management and interest tagging; and in-app purchase of premium subscriptions.
2.2 Platform Availability
The Service is currently available on iOS. You are responsible for ensuring you have a compatible device and operating system to use the app.
2.3 Content Monitoring
We do not guarantee that all content uploaded or shared by users through the Service will be accessible to or viewed by other users. We have no obligation to monitor all user-generated content, but we reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.
2.4 Advertising and Communications
We may display promotional content or advertisements within the Service. You agree to receive in-app communications from us, including service announcements, product updates, and promotional messages.
3. Registration and Account
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must register an account using a valid phone number. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We cannot verify whether any person accessing your account is authorized by you. We are not liable for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at service@wego-chat.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3.3 Account Ownership
Account ownership remains with Wego. Upon registration, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the account. You may not gift, lend, rent, transfer, or sell your account. Any such transfer renders the account subject to immediate termination.
3.4 Username Rules
When choosing a username or display name, you must not impersonate any person, organization, or public figure; use names that are offensive, vulgar, or discriminatory; or use names that could mislead others about your identity or affiliation.
3.5 Inactive Accounts
We reserve the right to reclaim accounts that have been inactive for 12 consecutive months or accounts that show signs of malicious registration, after providing reasonable prior notice.
3.6 Identity Verification
If identity verification is required to access certain features (e.g., premium subscriptions), you agree to complete such verification truthfully.
4. User Content
4.1 License Grant
You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or post through the Service ("User Content"), including profile information, activity posts, photos, and messages. By posting User Content, you grant Wego a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely to operate and improve the Service.
4.2 Your Representations
You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; and (c) your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.
4.3 Your Liability for Content
You bear full legal responsibility for any content you transmit through the Service. We are not liable for User Content and do not endorse any views expressed therein. If a third party brings a claim arising from your User Content, you agree to indemnify and hold Wego harmless from any resulting losses, damages, or legal fees.
4.4 Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use such input to develop or improve the Service without compensation or attribution to you, and any resulting intellectual property will be solely owned by Wego.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Wego's Rights
All intellectual property rights in the Wego application — including but not limited to the software code, interface design, layout, trademarks, logos, text, graphics, icons, audio, and video — are owned by Wego or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Wego's intellectual property other than as expressly permitted herein.
5.2 No Reverse Engineering
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Wego application without our express written permission.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or content. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. You access third-party services at your own risk. We are not liable for any harm or loss arising from your use of third-party services. We recommend reading the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service you access through Wego.
7. Prohibited Conduct
7.1 Content Restrictions
You agree not to post, upload, or distribute any content that:
(1) Is false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, or hateful;
(2) Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or exploitative of minors in any way;
(3) Promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities;
(4) Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
(5) Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material for third-party services without our prior consent;
(6) Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
7.2 Platform Restrictions
You agree not to:
(1) Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other tools to access or collect data from the Service;
(2) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems;
(3) Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service;
(4) Create multiple accounts for abusive or malicious purposes;
(5) Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code through the Service;
(6) Impersonate Wego or any other user or entity;
(7) Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
7.3 Enforcement
We may take action against accounts that violate these restrictions, including issuing warnings, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting conduct to relevant authorities.
8. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
8.1 Apple In-App Purchases
Wego may offer premium subscriptions and consumable items purchasable through Apple's in-app purchase system. All purchases are subject to Apple's payment terms and App Store policies.
8.2 Subscription Billing
Subscription pricing is set by the applicable App Store and may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
8.3 Refund Policy
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. We are not responsible for failed purchases resulting from connectivity issues, device incompatibility, or App Store system errors.
9. Privacy
9.1 Our Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9.2 Disagreement with Privacy Policy
If you do not agree with our Privacy Policy, please stop using the Service immediately.

10. Termination
10.1 Termination by Wego
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct that harms other users or the platform, or for any other reason at our discretion.
10.2 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through Settings → Delete Account. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination — whether by you or by us — we are not liable to you or any third party for any consequences of such termination, including the deletion of your account, content, or related data.
10.4 Indemnification
If your conduct causes loss or damage to Wego or its affiliates — including direct losses, reputational harm, legal fees, or third-party claims — you agree to indemnify and compensate us for all such losses.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
11.1 No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wego and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your use or inability to use the Service; (b) unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or content; (c) conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (d) any other matter relating to the Service.
11.3 Force Majeure
We are not liable for service interruptions caused by network infrastructure issues, cyberattacks, natural disasters, government actions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration or to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the territory where Wego is registered.
12.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
